14th GA Young Researchers’ Workshop

The GA Young Researchers’ Workshop (YRW) 2020 took place on November 7th and was for the first time held online as an eSymposium.

Two dozen abstracts were submitted to this year’s YRW, from which 12 were selected by the jury as oral presentations. The members of the jury and chairs of the workshop were A. Braca, R. Fürst, J. Gertsch, A. Karioti, E. Ferreira Queiroz and K. Skalicka-Woźniak. All 12 presentations were of outstanding scientific quality, and the discussions after each talk were very lively and stimulating. The best two presentations were awarded with two prizes: The Discovery Award (1,000 EUR) was given to Máté Vágvölgy, University of Szeged, Hungary, and the Bionorica YRW Award (600 EUR) to Deborah Spiess, University of Basel, Switzerland. Congratulations to the awardees, and many thanks to all participants of the workshop and to the jury members, who made the first online YRW a great success.
